Ensuring that your participants can hear the audio when sharing a video on screen
First, you must have started a telehealth call, and your participants should be present. For instructions on getting to this point, click here.Sharing your screen
- Click on the share screen button at the bottom of the telehealth call (pictured below).
Choose the correct source to share
- A pop up will appear on your screen with 3 tabs across the top - Tab, Window, or Entire Screen.
- Audio sharing will work on both Windows and Mac only on the “Browser Tab” tab (pictured below). This tab will be named after the browser you're using, for example:
- Chrome Tab
- Safari Tab
- Edge Tab
- You will see a checkbox in the bottom left hand corner that says “Share tab audio” (pictured below).
- Make sure that is enabled
- Choose your YouTube/Video tab (pictured below)
- Click Share
- After selecting your browser tab and clicking Share, you may need to navigate to the tab you wish to share.
- Make sure your system volume and the video's volume are up loud enough.
- Your screen will be visible to the other call participants, and they will be able to both watch and listen to the video.
Other Options
Windows
- On a Windows computer, you can also enable audio sharing via the “Entire Screen” tab (pictured below).
- The "Window" tab will not allow for audio sharing (pictured below).
Mac
- Mac computers can only share audio when sharing a specific browser tab. The "Window" and "Entire Screen" tabs will not allow for audio sharing.
